Le transport s'est effectué depuis le hall d'intégration situé au sein du camp de base jusqu'au laboratoire focal du VLTI au sommet du Cerro Paranal (2635 mètres).
Parmi l’ensemble des éléments transportés figurent aussi le cabinet électronique associé à la table 'Optique Chaude'.
Les deux autres cabinets électroniques ainsi que les 2 cryostats qu'ils pilotent, seront transportés dans 15 semaines, après l'installation définitive des deux détecteurs et une série de tests qui se poursuit dans le hall d'intégration.
